New camera & kitty outtakes

Thanks to the generosity of Wal-mart I was one of ten teachers at my school who received a $100 gift card. We decided earlier this year that we needed to upgrade to a new camera since the one we have been currently using is the one we bought before our honeymoon 4+ years ago. Now the decision was clear to go buy our camera at Wal-mart.

Since I have just wonderful taste, the camera I picked out was out of stock at the store we were in. My wonderful hubby looked online, called stores and tracked down a place where we could pick up the model of camera I wanted. Lucky me.

I've been busy with work and today was my first time to take it out and get to shoot with it. We usually send a Christmas picture each year to our extended families. Last year, we included Swarley in the picture with us, which took quite a bit of effort. This year we decided to include her, but not in the same picture as us.
